Founded in 2004, The Seattle Children's Gallery is committed to arts education for children. We promote the arts as an integral part of strong, vibrant communities and strive to ensure that the arts are a fundamental part of the lives of all children.
"All children are artists. The problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up."
- Pablo Picasso
To accomplish this, we provide opportunities for children to explore their creativity; design, implement and advocate for hands-on arts education; and place an emphasis on reaching children and families from low-income communities.
The children from age 2-10 and their parents are encouraged to attend workshops and submit work for our gallery. All proceeds from the sales of these works will be split between the gallery and various children's arts education programs.
Foundations, corporations, and government sources generously support The Seattle Childrens Gallery. The gallery also receives support from Seattle City Grant funds and the Washington Arts Council. We also rely on the generous support of individuals.
